Swimming in the hot springs of Kapishya. This is crystal clear water, with a temperature of 40 degrees all year round. The birding in the lodge gardens was spectacular. |
Shiwa Ngandu. This exquisite manor house was built in the early 1900s by an eccentric Englishman, Colonel Gore-Brown. It is most extraordinary to see this magnificent estate suddenly emerge out of the African bush. Gore-Brown’s grandchildren are running it as a hunting lodge, and restoring it to its former glory. They also run Kapishya Lodge. |
