Marilyn Dennill, Sue Halley-Stott, Richard Cock, John and Mary Marriott at the Carnegie Deli for lunch. The pastrami on rye sandwiches ordered by some of the folk were so massive that they could have fed two or three of us! |

On the bus home from Times Square. The public transport system in New York is awesome. |

On our tour of Radio City Music Hall, we met a real live Rockette. John and Richard look like the cats that got the cream! |

At the Steinway Piano Factory in Queens, we were required to wear goggles throughout the tour to protect our eyes from the dust. Sadly, I wasn't allowed to take photos inside the factory, but what an amazing tour it was. Every Steinway is hand-made and finished off to the highest standards. The craftsmen take immense pride in their work, one of the many reasons that Steinway has managed to maintain its outstanding reputation for so long.

Sue Halley-Stott standing on the Mall in Washington DC, with the World War II Memorial behind her and the Lincoln Memorial in the background. These memorials are all filled with symbolism, which was revealed to us by our excellent guide that day, Anthony Pitch.

The Hop-on Hop-off Trolley Bus, which takes tourists on a fabulous tour of the sights of Washington DC. The bus drivers give an excellent running commentary on all the points of interest along the route. This is a really worthwhile tour to take on your first day in the city, as it's an excellent orientation and introduction to much of what Washington DC has to offer.

The Last Brunch. Old Ebbitt's Grill is one of the better restaurants in Washington DC. Our waiter, Fabio, is hovering in the background. On his recommendation, a few of us had the Jumbo Lump Crab-Cakes, which were excellent!
