Baroque in the Bush – Highlights

Baroque in the Bush is a sublime three days of Baroque concerts at Shingwedzi in the Kruger Park, with 16 musicians under the direction of South Africa’s favourite maestro Dr Richard Cock.   2018 will be our 24th year.

This event is fully booked year after year, but it’s definitely worth being on the waiting list.  Contact Kim on kim@montybrett.com with your details.

Otherwise, what about camping?  Maybe time to bring your tent and camp gear out of mothballs, as there’s always masses of camping space.  (Monty loves to camp, so he can hear the animal activity outside the fence.)

Shingwedzi is the perfect venue – it accommodates the optimal number of people, and has a large thatched veranda which serves as our concert hall, looking out over the Shingwedzi River bed.

September is sublime in the Park – the days are warm enough for an afternoon laze by the pool, the evenings are crisp and star-studded, the trees are budding, and sometimes we’re lucky enough to get a rainstorm.  All in all, a unique way to experience the beauty of the African bush.
